Happy New Year to all of our Wichita Section members and friends! Being the optimist that I am, I can’t help thinking that 2021 should see an improvement over 2020.

Some really good news has been announced by the MBCA National Board regarding the member rebate program. The terms have been revised and the program offers up to $7,000 off a new lease or purchase of a Mercedes-Benz. To learn more, visit www.mbca.org/mbusa-incentives

You may have noticed so new MBCA on-line educational presentations. The next upcoming event will be presented by the Pittsburg Section and is called: Automotive Brake Systems, Maintenance, Repairs, ad Restoration. It’s scheduled for January 30th at 12PM central time. The event is limited to 100 members and you can RSVP at MBCAphgchapter@gmail.com.

Wichita Section Zoom Membership Meeting and Social Cocktail Hour
When: January 28, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Online

This will be our first try at a Section Zoom event. This will be an opportunity to talk about upcoming events or other MB or club related news. Sure, it would be nice to meet in person but for now this is the best way to have a membership meeting. Feel free to enjoy your favorite adult beverage as we talk about the upcoming section events and any other club or MB related news. To talk part in this event you will need to download the Zoom App on your device of choice or you can access the event via the Zoom webpage. The event log-in details will be sent out ahead of the meeting along with instructions on how to access the Zoom meeting. Should be fun and hope to see a lot of people there.

Visit to the Wichita Art Museum
When: February 20th, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Where: Wichita Art Museum, 1400 Museum Blvd, Wichita 67203

This is an opportunity to get out of the bad weather and visit a real community treasure. The art museum has an extensive collection with constantly changing installations. There’s something for everyone! Plus there’s plenty of room to social distance. To learn more about the museum visit: www.wichitaartmuseum.org.

If the weather cooperates, we may be able to get some great pictures of our cars in the museum circle.

Visit to Mark Arts
When: March 13, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Where: 1307 N Rock Road, Wichita 67206

Here is another opportunity to experience some great art right here in the local area. Mark Arts showcases local art in a variety of mediums and of course it is all comfortably inside so we can avoid the unpredictable March weather. Mercedes Freude: The Joy of Everything Mercedes
When: November 2021
Where: Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, Hilton Head Island, SC

A new and improved national event that incorporates the most popular activities of both StarFest® and StarTech events. The kickoff of Mercedes Freude (“The Joy of Everything Mercedes”) will begin with an arrival on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island, SC.

MBCA events and activities will run through Friday evening November 5, 2021. Saturday November 6, 2021 will be the kickoff of Legends of the Autobahn East Coast, which will be held on the Port Royal golf course and then Sunday November 7, 2021 with be the Hilton Head Island Concours d’ Elegance, also held at Port Royal.

This will be an event not to be missed! Please pass the word and “save the date” – now! Stay tuned for updated details on this website, our Facebook page, and Newsletter including The Star® magazine.
